GROUP STRUCTURE

Long term survival as a singleton is possible, but not ideal. Security comes first and numbers aid security. Numbers also allow personnel to split tasks effectively and allow members to become experts in their specialty. Survival groups can be centralized or decentralized. A centralized group would occupy a small area. The best example of this would be a farm in which all members of the group live. A decentralized group would live in separate houses or farms that could mutually support in a time of need. The main advantage of a centralized group is the added security permitted. The main advantage of a decentralized group is space; living in small groups, in small confines, can cause issues. An ideal situation would be a small centralized group that cooperates with other small centralized groups.

GROUP STRUCTURE

The Group Leader is ultimately responsible for the group and provides the overarching vision. For the group to be successful, the leader must have personnel to help him manage the group. Each of these managers need to be, or become, subject matter experts in their field and more importantly cross-train the group to spread that knowledge.
